Upcoming seminars in 2020
There were two NKS-R seminars/workshops scheduled for 2020. BREDA/BRUTE seminar was postponed due to COVID-19 and will be organized in September.
BREDA/BRUTE: Reactor pressure vessel embrittlement seminar for the BREDA - BRUTE project. Ensuring safe operation and the durability of the reactor pressure vessel is one of the most important tasks for nuclear power plants. In the BRUTE project the radiation embrittlement of the B2 vessel is investigated and compared to the surveillance program. The seminar will present and discuss the latest results from VTT, KTH and Chalmers. The seminar will take place as an online seminar on September 22nd, 2020. PROSAFE: The purpose of the meeting is to discuss tentative results of the PROSAFE project, finalization of the project and reports, and possible needs for further work. The seminar will be held as an online seminar on December 3rd, 2020. There were four NKS-B seminars/workshops scheduled for 2020. However, due to the Corona restrictions on travel, meeting space, etc. these have all been postponed:
GAMMARAY X: Seminar for users of gamma spectrometry in the Nordic countries, also involving intercomparison exercises. The seminar has been postponed to 2021 – the exact date is yet to be announced. The deadline for reporting the results of the announced sample intercomparison is extended to 15 January 2021 (see Gamma Wiki webpage).
