4^th ANNOUNCEMENT (REGISTRATION REMINDER): NKS SEMINAR ON THE FUKUSHIMA ACCIDENT AND PERSPECTIVES FOR NORDIC REACTOR SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

NKS announces this joint NKS-R and NKS-B seminar at Finlandshuset (www.finlandshuset.se) in Stockholm, which is scheduled to start at 13:00 on the 8th of January and end in the late afternoon on the 9th of January 2013.

Please note that the deadline for registration is the 1st of December, 2012.  If you have not already registered, you can still do so from the main NKS web page www.nks.org, where the seminar program and other information on the seminar is also available. There is no registration fee, but the number of seats is limited.

As announced in the previous NewsFlash, participants are requested to make their own hotel reservation, but the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority has block-booked a limited number of rooms at two hotels in Stockholm.  To make use of this block-booking it is necessary to reserve rooms no later than the 1st of December, 2012.  For more information on this, please go to http://www.nks.org/en/seminars/upcoming_seminars/nks_fukushima_seminar.htm.  Please be advised that it may be a problem to wait too long with booking of accommodation in Stockholm. 

Please also remember that the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and The Swedish Society for Radioecology organise a joint seminar on ‘Radioecological Studies after the Fukushima Accident’, in Stockholm, on the 10th of January (right after the NKS Fukushima Seminar).  Updated information can be found  here (2nd announcement).
